Impregnable lady

I did not meet Kochappan today. Doctor has advised him complete rest. But don't worry. I shall relate some 'interesting bits' he had told me when I spoke to him over phone.
They are serious ones.
During the last war an English lady was entertaining three Polsh officers in her house.
'I understand, captain, she said to one of them' that you are married . Do you have any children?'
"Alas, no madam.' replied the captain' my wife is unbearable'.
'Iam afraid ' said another officer,'that my friend's English is not quite perfect. He means that his wife is inconceivable'.
Upon this the third officer intervened and made it bit more perfect ' What they mean is that the lady is impregnable'.

a little girl fresh from a school sex talk, said to her mother. 'Mummy do you ,and daddy have sexual relations?'
'Yes dear why do you ask?'
'well ' replied the little girl ' Why hav'nt I met any one of them'.

Kochappan wanted me to tell him something like what he told me. I told him about an answer I got from a girl student when I was doing a mock interview in an engg college.
'What are your aims and ambitions?' I asked.
" I want to go as far as my education and sex will allow ' was her answer.
Kochappan laughed. The day ended well.

Kochappan's illness and Maria's sickness

I did'nt hear from Kochappan till evening today. This was my first visit to his home after
the house warming ceremony.

He was in bed. Is he still thinking of 'baggage and luggage' and 'long and lengthy' ?
He didn't look well.
"Are you sick ?". I asked him.
" No Iam ill " He said. As always , I was confused.
" What is the difference" was my next query.

" 'to be sick' is to ' feel like vomiting' and I have not vomited. That, Aniyan, is in British English".He said proudly; in a weak tone.

" Then you are 'unwell' or 'ill' in America and 'indisposed' in England".I remarked. He nodded his head in approval.

I wanted to irritate him by asking him whether he has anything to do with his colleague Maria ' being sick' ; in British English.

I did'nt want the conversation to be lengthy ; at least not when he is indisposed.
He had closed his eyes. He looked tired. Let him sleep .

I closed the door gently and walked out into the road.

It has started to drizzle .... but I moved on ........

Kochappan

oh! I forgot to introduce kochappan to you. He is my icon , my brand ambassador: a
a jack of all trades and surprisingly a master of few.

What is he know? He is v good journalist working in my news paper.
"very good?." asks a jealous friend. ''There are lot of mistakes in his reports.'' adds my friend'.

' The British prime minister Tony Blair is likely to invite Dr.Manmohan singh 'for tea' at 10, Downing strret ......'.. This suggests that the main objective of Blair is to give Dr.singh a cup of tea. However he meant to invite him 'to tea' so that he could use the occasion to have an informal chat.

'President Bush entertained Dr. abdul Kalam' to lunch ' : as if the latter couldnot get any lunch and Bush magnanimously offered him a meal. What actually happened was Bush entertained the president 'at lunch'.
'
The famous urologist Dr. Mony will 'only' be available at Kochi' .This means that the doctor will be available and nothing else will happen. What Kochappan probably meant was that doctor will be available 'only' in Kochi and nohere else.

Now that this comments have come I am thinking of giving kochappan another assignment. Lot of youngesters go abroad, say, to US,UK etc. An awareness of aspects of social and professional interaction with the people of these countries could of some use. Kochappan was in US . He knows about them. Will he help us ?

Let's see whether he will do it.

He 'only' has to tell us whether he will do it.
He has to tell us 'only' whether he will do it.
He has to tell us whether he 'only' will do it.
He has to tell us whether he will do it 'only'.

Knowing Kochappan and his 'only', he is going to take some time to tell us !!!

Drawing Room

Is Kochappan an artist? Can he draw?
The only thing he can do straight, is to draw a crooked line.Nothing more than that; to my knowledge!.
His new apartment at Hyderabad is spacious Iam told. It has two bed rooms, a study room, prayer room and drawing room. If he can't draw why is it called drawing room?

In the old days (In England persumably) when guests were invited for dinner the host and the guest had dinner in the dining room. The men used to remain in that room having their drinks and cigars. The ladies withdrew to another room for conversation. This room was known as ' withdrawing room' . Some smart guy shortened it to 'drawing room' ; a room into which women retired leaving men to have drinks and probably crack dirty jokes.

For the house warming ceremony people were invited at 11.30AM. Some people who came sharp at 11.30AM were 'on time' and who came few minutes early were
'in time'.

I was late as usual ; I told my self " It is better to be late, Mr.Menon, than be
' The late Mr.Menon'.
